Between 2015 and 2016 I made a huge electronic album that expressed my love for abstract dance music, R&B, and bubblegum pop. I planned on releasing the work under my Giant Claw moniker at the end of 2016, but after spending so much time on it I became burnt out and decided it was best to set the music aside to focus on something else. The album remained abandoned and unfinished until now — when the DDS mixtape club has provided me the opportunity to revisit these recordings and finally get them out of my system.

I released half of the work last year as Reality 2 : Archive of Fading Mist (part ii) — now I’ve compiled part i. The flipped release order is only because I felt like working on the tracks from part ii first, but I wanted to retain the rough chronological order of the whole work between the two parts.

If I had released this material as I intended back in 2016 I think I would have cut some tracks and made a leaner single album, but at this point I like hearing all the music unfold in its extended form.
